A little bit of history......

Hello everybody, my name is Valentina, I'm an italian girl from Rome and I live in London. I moved in town last September to attend a character animation course at Central Saint Martins College... and I recently graduated! Just last week actually...
The course has been brilliant, and I learnt loads in these 9 months. Really intensive, but great!
And I'm an animator now!
My previous art education has been the Academy of Fine Arts in Rome, from which I graduated a couple of years ago...In the meantime I worked as illustrator and graphic designer for a publishing firm back in Rome, which is specialized in children books, for a couple of years as well. I learned loads in that job too. And then I moved to London... and my plan is now to stay and find some animation jobs if possible!
So this blog is mostly like an artwork diary that I'm gonna be using as a showcase for anybody who wants to see some of my works and animations...and I'm gonna update it everytime I've got something new to show, everytime I make a progress or something new happens in my animation "career" from now on.
I'm gonna post a showreel of animations I've been working on during this hard-working year in our animation studio at college... Just to give an idea of what I've been up to these months.
I'm also gonna post a stills showreel, with some of my life drawings and illustrations I've done for the publishing firm I worked for, and artworks I've done for friends and for the Academy of Fine Arts...
And last but not least I'm going to post the final project I carried out for the end of this course. I've been working really hard on it, for about one month and a half! It's not finished yet, as you'll see, but I'm currently still working on it...so hopefully I'm gonna have it finished soon! I'll probably post a new version everytime I'll have more of it done, so you'll see the work in progress...
